Current Opening
Head of Product and Technology
Role
We are looking for a strategic Head of Product & Technology to lead the vision, roadmap, and execution for our AI-driven private credit platform.
This role is product-first: you will define what we build, why we build it, and how it creates value—while also overseeing the engineering direction required to bring the product to life.
You will work at the intersection of product strategy, domain expertise, and modern AI/ML technologies, ensuring that every release is high-quality, scalable, and aligned with customer needs.
Key Responsibilities Product Leadership
- Own the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Alphastream.ai platform.
- Drive product discovery, user research, requirement definition, and continuous product improvements.
- Lead product planning, prioritization, and sprint execution, balancing customer value, business goals, and technical constraints.
- Build a deep understanding of private credit workflows, loan documents, covenants, and client pain points to deliver meaningful solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy and quality across the platform by establishing strong validation and monitoring frameworks.
- Lead prompt engineering and model refinement to improve extraction accuracy and AI/LLM output quality.
- Develop clear product requirement documents (PRDs), acceptance criteria, and release plans.
- Partner with design/UI teams to deliver intuitive, user-friendly experiences for analysts and operations teams.
- Define KPIs, usage metrics, and success indicators to measure product performance and adoption.
- Collaborate with sales and customer success to ensure effective onboarding, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
- Stay ahead of market and competitive trends; identify opportunities for differentiation and expansion.
- Drive prioritization in fast-paced release cycles: maintain a clear product backlog, make conscious trade-offs between “must-have now” vs “nice-to-have later” and client-specific customizations vs core product roadmap, and ensure the team ships meaningful, iterative value every sprint.
- Think in terms of end-to-end applications and workflows, not just features: design products that fit naturally into analyst, operations, and risk teams’ day- to-day processes.
- Deep understanding of private credit and private markets workflows, including loan documents, covenants, and portfolio monitoring to deliver solutions that materially improve how deals are sourced, underwritten, and monitored.
Technology Leadership
- Oversee and guide the engineering organization to ensure timely, reliable, and scalable delivery of the product roadmap.
- Work closely with engineering leads to define technical architecture, data pipelines, and AI/ML integration.
- Drive engineering best practices: code quality, testing frameworks, CI/CD, security, and performance optimization.
- Partner with data science teams to evaluate, deploy, and monitor model performance.
- Ensure platform scalability for large volumes of documents, data extraction tasks, and parallel workflows.
- Help recruit, coach, and mentor engineering talent; build a high-performing tech team aligned to product priorities.
- Manage technology timelines, resources, and risks to ensure on-time and high- quality releases.
Cross-functional Leadership
- Act as the key bridge between product, technology, leadership, sales, and operations.
- Communicate complex domain + AI concepts clearly across stakeholders.
- Represent product & technology in customer discussions, roadmap reviews, and leadership meetings.
- Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement across product and engineering.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- 10–15+ years in product and engineering-focused roles, with at least 5 years of product leadership.
- Strong domain knowledge of private credit markets, loan documents, covenants, and data workflows.
- Experience owning product execution from planning to delivery with measurable outcomes.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML, NLP, LLMs, data extraction technologies, and enterprise SaaS workflows.
- Hands-on experience with prompt engineering and improving model output quality.
- Ability to translate complex financial and technical concepts into clear product requirements.
- Proven experience working with engineering leaders on architecture, scalability, and platform reliability.
- Experience in FinTech, LegalTech, private credit, or capital markets tech (preferred).
- Experience with contract analytics, legal data extraction, or NLP-based products (strong plus).
- Background in investment banking, private equity, or credit funds (preferred but not mandatory).
- Start-up or early-stage experience strongly preferred.
NOTE – Candidates must be comfortable working late hours to align with US time zones, ensuring seamless collaboration and timely delivery of objectives.
